Commander Theen is an Irken military scientist who appears in Issue 28 of the Invader Zim comic series.
Summary[]
Theen is the commanding officer of an Irken research outpost on an uninhabited moon. The research team's mission is to experiment with a time manipulation device known as the Time Accelerator, which is able to speed up time within its area of effect. However, the research team is attacked by Scavenger Worms which live under the surface of the moon, and the whole team and the Accelerator are dragged away.
Theen is the only member of the team to escape, and he makes his way back to the Massive in order to tell the Tallest what happened. To his dismay, the Tallest don't remember him and barely remember the project, with Red referring to the Accelerator as the "Time Thingy" and Purple only remembering the Chronal Dampener which is part of the Accelerator (which Purple calls a bendy straw). More to the point, they also don't seem willing to send someone on a potentially doomed mission to retrieve the Accelerator, until Zim calls and they assign him to it.
It's unknown what happened to Theen after this.
Facts of Doom[]
- Theen has a triangular purple patch on the front of his uniform. As all the members of his team also have them, this is presumably to mark them as scientists.
- His name is similar to Invader Tenn's. Possibly, it's a male version of the name.
- He looks similar to Zim, which results in his research team mistaking the latter for their commander after years of separation. The only noticeable differences between the two are Theen's greater height, crooked antenna, and a mole on his face.
