The Horkans are an ancient race that lived on Planet Horkus 6, a dry and desert-like planet. They possessed advanced technology, but no apparent writing system, and so they recorded their history with drawings (similar to hieroglyphs and pictograms on Earth).
The most notable aspect about Horkan culture is their connection to the Star Donkey. Their drawings describe how to summon the Star Donkey, which Zim used for his plans to take over Earth in Issue 3. Unfortunately, the Horkans were sadly destroyed when the Star Donkey kicked all life off their planet.
