Synopsis[]
SPOILER WARNING OF DOOM: This section or article may contain spoilers!
While reading his morning paper, Professor Membrane discovers that the mountain of old tires just outside of town has been covered in frozen ground beef and converted into a ski resort. He decides to take this opportunity for a family trip, and drives Dib and Gaz to the resort. Along the way, Dib spots Minimoose in the woods. Due to this, when they get to Meat Mountain Dib starts to suspect that Zim is up to something, but Gaz tells him to just focus on enjoying their trip.
Dib tries, but lacks any serious skill and gets restricted to the Baby Meatball hill, which is for all the youngest kids, while the much more skilled Gaz is allowed to ascend the mountain. An annoyed Dib tries to improve his skills, but is shocked to see Zim also ascending the mountain.
Spying on Zim from a distance, Dib discovers that he's luring skiers into a decoy waffle shop so that he can wrap them up and ship them to alien retailers to use as pillow stuffing. Dib is horrified, but can't go after Zim until he proves he's ready for the next ski level, the Yellow Taco. When he proves unable to do so on his own, he builds an exosuit that lets him beat the Baby Meatball hill and graduate to Yellow Taco.
However, upon reaching the Yellow Taco hill, Dib discovers that Zim has already abducted all the skiers and moved on to the Purple Empanada hill. Once again having to prove his skill level to advance, Dib upgrades the exosuit in order to beat the Yellow Taco hill. Unfortunately, he finds that Zim has again already moved on by the time he gets to Purple Empanada, now establishing himself atop the Sloppy Joe's Summit at the top of the mountain.
Upgrading his exosuit once more, Dib earns the right to travel to the summit. As he ascends, however, Zim mocks him, pointing out that he clearly hasn't come up with a plan for actually beating him. Dib begins to panic, but has a sudden idea. He ditches his exosuit and lies down on the meat, allowing other skiers to trip over him.
This pile of skiers quickly forms a ball, which rolls down the summit and slams into the waffle shop. Not built to process that many people at once, the shop overloads and self-destructs, blowing everyone back down to the base of the mountain.
Afterwards, Dib is pleased to have beaten Zim and saved everyone, and is ready to enjoy the family vacation. However, an annoyed Gaz points out that by freeing all the other skiers, Dib has made it so that they're now stuck in line behind everyone.
End of Spoilers: There are no further spoilers for this section or article. You can breathe now.
Facts of Doom []
- This issue is one of the few that actually show Professor Membrane trying to be more involved with his kids.
- This issue also reveals that the Professor drives a car that has a model of his hair spike on its roof.
- Gaz is revealed to be an excellent skier, while Dib is very bad at it.
- As seen in the show, Zim has a weakness against meat, so Minimoose served as transportation to keep him away from it.
