Mr. Sludgey is a robotic snowman that made his only appearance in "The Most Horrible X-Mas Ever", where he told a tale that had happened on Earth two million years ago when Zim he caused the "Most Horrible X-Mas Ever".

Appearance

Mr. Sludgey is a robotic snowman standing at the height of an average adult human. He is made of three large snowball-like shapes, like a normal snowman, has two black buttons with red centers nailed into the middle snowball.

Each snowball is made of two hemispheres held together by what appear to be staples. He does not have legs, and his arms are located at the bottom part of the middle snowball and wears brown gloves. His head is hollow, with several wires inside, and a unibrow. His eyes are black, along with a thin, carrot-shaped nose and a red rectangular tongue. He wears a black top hat that is larger in proportion the higher it goes and at the top, it begins to bend down, due to the size of the hat.

Personality

Mr. Sludgey is very kind to children, and has a somewhat silly and whimsical demeanor. Though not one, he behaves like a regular human: He can smile and stick his tongue out, and make other gestures to indicate his emotions.

He can speak in a very fluent and clear non-robotic voice. Mr. Sludgey is very kind to the children he looks after, and is also very knowledgeable on a larger variety of subjects, such anthropomorphic behaviors seem to suggest that despite its simply and crude appearance he is quite advanced.

However, he seems to have become slightly irritated when one of the children he was telling a story to criticized him, telling Sludgey that his story makes no sense whatsoever. In response, Mr. Sludgey blinked for several moments, picked up the child by the head, tucked the child away under a bed and continued his story.

Mr. Sludgey finished telling the story.

Mr. Sludgey was never seen being angry or scared, most likely because his programming prevents him from doing so since he was most likely made to babysit and amuse children.

A hint of this being the case could be seen at the beginning of the episode where some wiring sound could be heard after he said he wouldn’t tell the children the Christmas story only to change his mind just as quickly, he also told the children that Santa would return to Earth every Christmas with a happy tone despite the children being terrified.

Role in Invader Zim

Raise the shields, children!

Mr. Sludgey played a major role in the last produced episode for Invader Zim, "The Most Horrible X-Mas Ever". He told the future human children a story about Zim, narrating the entire episode as he explained, apparently in great detail how Zim ruined the holiday season forever as the end result was the Santa Suit going feral and being thrown out in the cold vacuum of space but returning to Earth every Christmas.

Mr. Sludgey was last seen telling the children to raise the shields to protect them against the Santa Suit which by their time period had grown to be Godzilla size and tried to destroy the protective dome before being briefly distracted by milk and cookies which were implied to be the “shields”.

Facts of Doom

• Mr. Sludgey was voiced by Fred Tatasciore.
• Seeing as he is made to look like a snowman, it can be implied that Mr. Sludgy is only used on Christmas and is in storage for the rest of the year.
• Despite not having legs, it’s evident that Mr. Sludgey can move around and he was seen making his way from his chair to a nearby window once the alarms went off indicating Santa’s return to Earth.
• Mr. Sludgey is the first robot in the franchise to tell a story involving Zim, the second one being the Robo-Hobo in Issue 45.
