Nny 1

Nightmare Nny waving goodbye. His second appearance.

Nightmare Nny is a nightmare version of Johnny C. but unlike his "real life" counterpart he seems to be easily intimidated. At least, he's scared by Nightmare Bitters, which makes sense since she is the absolute ruler of the Nightmare Realm.

Nightmare1

Nightmare Nny's first appearance.

What's curious about Nightmare Nny is that he also appears to be quite sympathetic towards his fellow Halloweenies as he was seen waving good bye to Yolk when he was condemned to the Realm of Eternal Screaming and Restlessness, something the regular Nny wouldn't have done for just anybody in the "real world."

Since he appeared in Dib's imagination as a doppelgänger, it can be implied that Dib and Johnny met off-screen at some point in the series. Otherwise, there would be no "in universe" explanation to his appearance in the Nightmare Skool, aside from the animators sticking him in as an Easter egg.

Nightmare3

Nightmare Nny's third and final appearance.

He only appeared three times during "Halloween Spectacular of Spooky Doom". First when Zim is strapped to the machine, later when Yolk was banished by Nightmare Bitters and finally when the Halloweenies glare at Dib when he asks if he has "a say in this."

Facts of Doom[]

  • Unlike his real life counterpart, Nightmare Nny doesn’t seem to have any of his Homicidal tendencies.
  • Unlike all the other doppelgängers, Nightmare Nny doesn't get a speaking role in the episode and only appears as a cameo.
    • Had he spoken, is possible that by extension we could have heard Johnny C’s voice for the very first time.
    • Nightmare Nny also doesn't appear to have a mouth, which could imply that he communicates telepathically or can't talk at all.
