Shloonktapooxis is a species of an unknown race, presumably conquered by the Irken Empire. He is a member of the Resisty, and is one of its only members who has numerous speaking lines. He first appeared in the episode, "Backseat Drivers from Beyond the Stars." He also made several cameos in the episode "The Frycook What Came from All that Space."
Appearance[]
His species seems to be one of small creatures who levitate within the confines of a cone-like device. He has purple skin, white eyes, and atop his head is a single large pink antenna. He lacks arms and hands as well as legs, though the point at his bottom could perhaps count as his foot.
Personality[]
Shloonktapooxis is known particularly for his obnoxious sense of humor. He also appears to be highly unintelligent and seems to look at the positive side of every situation despite how terrible it may be; an example of this is when he considered that the Resisty’s power core being replaced with a new horrible one was “good news”. He also seems to be quick to panic as he (and everyone else in the Resisty ship) screamed in terror when the Tallest were about to kill them all with the cannon bridge.
Facts of Doom[]
- He and Lard Nar are the only two Resisty aliens designed by the series' creator, Jhonen Vasquez.
- Despite presumably being Lard Nar’s right hand cone and second in command of the Resisty, Shloonktapooxis doesn’t seem to be particularly bright.
- He came up with the name “Pirate Monkeys” as a suggestion for the Resistance, a name Lard Nar shot down because it wasn’t “scary enough” nor did it “strike fear into all who hear of the resistance.”
- He makes his only appearance in the comic series during the final issue, when he and Lard Nar appear as part of the montage of people being caught up in the time loop.
