This page is mostly defining something that hasn't been elaborated on much in canon. Anyone can say that a specific Irken is defective.
Maybe we should delete this page since a majority of the content is speculation/theory.

Who suggests that Tak is a irken defective?.[]
The series heavily imply that she was going to be an Irken Invader but, (due to Zim) she is not, and she wants desperately to be one. she never caused mayhem or any kind of problem. I would suggest that she may be a bit defective, but not nearly as malfunctional as Zim. Mainly due to her dress and transport, as well as the implant in her head and the spot on her face. Irkens all seem to follow a very strict conformity when it comes to appearance and vehicles; she just seems to... not fit the mold? Dykeatron 02:44, January 29, 2011 (UTC)
Very true, altough, the dress and the transport (as well as Mimi) are customized tools. Nobody gave her the tools that normally Invaders receive, and since she desires so much to become an invader, probably she build what she needed; thus, what she has is unique. Other Irkens may be conformist, but this might be due to them having fulfilled the role they were programmed for, as Tak was refrained from fulfilling her role she might have the need to strugle until then. Well, it's probably there because of what Dykeatron said; she's unique, which is a rare trait amoung Irkens. And whilst I also agree with Gato, she uses her own insignia, which, even if she wasn't supplied with the regular Irken tools, using her own insignia is more choice than neccessity. It could be explained by the fact that she's angry with the Tallest/Control Brains over not letting her retake the test, but she still contacts them and is still trying to become an Invader to prove herself to the Tallest... So, I guess it could be a matter of opinion as to whether she's defective or not. Vithian 05:29, January 29, 2011 (UTC)
