Zim 501 is one of many alternate universe versions of Zim who inhabit the Zimvoid, introduced in Issue 47.
History[]
501's history is presumably the same as our Zim's, except for the fact that at some point he got too close to a cow, causing it to kick him in the eye. This caused him to lose the eye, with him now wearing an eyepatch in its place, and to become somewhat obsessed with cows as a result.
At some point prior to the start of Issue 47, 501 detected an Irken distress signal coming from Pandora's Quadrangle. Investigating it, he was sucked through a portal and ended up on a small planet inhabited by other Zims from other universes. He crashed, destroying his Voot Runner and his GIR, leaving him stranded like all the others.
501 was then incorporated into the Zimvoid's numbered hierarchy, being assigned his number and made one of the soldiers who patrol the planet. In this capacity, he eventually captured the series' primary Zim when he arrived in the Zimvoid.
He proceeded to give Zim his number, assigning him to unclog the sewers. Later, when checking up on Zim's progress, he tells him about the arena where Zims fight each other in gladiatorial combat for the right to advance in rank, and watches as he goes off to fight.
501 was not seen again after this, but was presumably sent back to his own universe by our Zim messing around with the timelines, as all the other Zims were.
Facts of Doom[]
- Considering the fact that Irkens have ocular implants and easily detach eyeballs, it's odd that Zim 501 didn't get a replacement eye.
