Zim and Zita are classmates at Skool. One could make the argument that next to Dib, Gaz and Keef, Zita is one of the skoolchildren the Irken interacts the most, due in part to the fact that she sits behind him, although their interaction seen in the completed episodes was quite limited.
Zita is seen feeling sorry for Zim’s “skin condition”.
They first meet in "The Nightmare Begins", in which Zim introduces himself and Zita seems to look bored and uninterested.
Curiously, after Dib makes his accusations about Zim being an alien, Zita was the first one to doubt this claim, stating "Oh, not this again. You're crazy", and even showed pity towards Zim when Dib questioned about the Irken’s “skin condition".
And finally, after Dib is close to exposing Zim until the latter also agrees Dib is crazy, Zita states that it makes a lot more sense, unintentionally keeping Zim’s cover safe.
During “Bestest Friend”, Zita didn’t accept a party invitation Keef was making for Zim, while in “Parent Teacher Night”, she was seen being freaked out by Zim’s Roboparents. In both cases, Zim and Zita didn’t interact, but it’s evident that at this point they thought poorly of each other, as Zim isn’t “popular” yet and the Irken hated his Skool peers at that time.
In “Walk of Doom” even thought they didn’t interact with each other, Zita saw Zim and GIR dance in order to get enough monies to ride in the city bus.
In "Germs", Zita looked at Zim like he lost his mind, which given the fact that the came to Skool covered in “protective meat” it’s completely understandable, while in “Dark Harvest” she didn’t seem to care that he got “head pigeons” and while it wasn’t shown, it was heavily implied that at one point during the episode Zim stole at least one organ from her, as everyone in their class (and the Skool at large) were victims of his plan to fool the Skool nurse to appear “more human”.
In "The Wettening", Zita is among the crowd who watches Dib during his attempt to splash Zim with a water machine. Specifically, she can be seen standing next to Gaz. She immediately runs when she sees the huge water balloon from Zim's orbital launcher; evidently, Zim didn’t care if she got hurt.

In "Career Day", when Zim was saying he wanted to be “Lord of all humans”, Zita didn’t seen bothered by his megalomaniac attitude, suggesting she’s gotten used to his antics.
In ”Rise of the Zitboy”, Zita was one of the skoolchildren Zim hypnotized using Pustulio, while in "A Room with a Moose", she was one of the skoolchildren that laughed at and ridiculed Zim, and in revenge Zim planned to get everyone in Ms. Bitters’ class, Zita included, sent towards the aforementioned room in order to get rid of them once and for all.
In "Bolognius Maximus", Zita made fun of Zim for having “bologna on his head”, and even laughed at his predicament. Zim, however, had the last laugh as he had his payback on Dib, and his horrible stench made Zita (and the rest of the class) have an awful time.
Zita just think Zim is weird.
In "Halloween Spectacular of Spooky Doom", Zita was seen dressed as a stereotypical alien, which got no comment from Zim. In this episode, she just thinks Zim is “weird”, and showed a bit of concern at Zim’s outburst.
In "Mysterious Mysteries", Zim, knowing how much everyone in Skool thinks lowly of Dib, ensured that the Mysterious Mysteries Anchor interviewed his classmates to question Dib's sanity, and Zita was the first to reply that Dib is “pretty crazy", once more unintentionally aiding the Irken in keeping his cover safe.
In "Lice", after Dib finishes his presentation about Galileo, Zita immediately called him crazy, which earned her an A, something that greatly amused Zim, he also didn’t seem to care that she was suffering because of the lice, but technically speaking Zim did save Zita’s life as his skin was what ended up killing the Lice Queen.
In "Tak: The Hideous New Girl", As Zim stared in confusion that his classmates joyfully celebrated being allowed to celebrate Valentine’s Day by the Skool Principal, Zita playfully sticks her tongue out at him, but aside from that showed indifference that he then got assaulted by Tak with meat.

In "Vindicated", after Dib knocks off Zim's contact lens, Zim claims that he is only suffering "pink eye", with Zita agreeing with his statement, stating how Pinky has it pretty bad, once more taking Zim’s side.
In “The Voting of the Doomed”, Zita was seen supporting Zim’s campaign (as Gaz did), and presumably even voted for him.
In "The Frycook What Came from All That Space", Zita agreed that Zim wasn’t an alien just because he “likes wearing pants”, but when Zim was abducted by Sizz-Lorr, she showed no concern that he was kidnapped.
Even though Zim and Zita didn’t interact in “The Most Horrible X-Mas Ever”, it was evident that Zim was more than willing to send his human classmates to their doom and become slaves to the Irken Empire, while in “Enter the Florpus” Zita only made a cameo appearance but yet again Zim showed disregard for her life (as with the rest of the human race) as he was hoping that once he moved Earth in the path of the Irken Armada, the Tallest would initiate the organic sweep, unaware that they simply decided to blow up the planet instead.
Their interactions in the comic book series is unchanged from how they are in the TV show, as they rarely interact but Zita is still on Zim’s side instead of Dib’s in most cases.
Facts of Doom[]
- Zita is the only other female human aside from Gaz who Zim is shipped with by the fans. If not made a romantic partner, however, sometimes they are depicted as friends.
- Zita is technically an ally to Zim (what Gaz was intended to be in Jhonen's initial vision for the show), because she usually sides with him rather than with Dib when he tries to prove to everyone that Zim is an Irken Invader.
- Zita interestingly is the first skoolchild who defended Zim against Dib.
- Zim never said Zita’s name during the duration of the series but it’s clear that from episodes like “Bestest Friend”, “A Room with a Moose” and the unmade episode “Ten Minutes To Doom” that Zim does know the names of his classmates.
- In the episode "Halloween Spectacular of Spooky Doom", Zita was coincidentally dressed as a stereotypical alien during class and treat or treating, but oddly enough, she never received any positive or negative comments from neither Zim nor Dib. She slightly resembles Yvona from the episode "Playhouse in Outer Space" of Pee-wee's Playhouse.
- Zim and Zita never interacted outside of Skool, but the closest they ever did was when Zita was seen trick or treating in Zim’s neighborhood.
- Unsurprisingly, in this episode Zita said that “Dib has a long history of crazy” and she just thinks Zim is “weird”. This seems to suggest that she has a higher opinion of Zim than Dib.
- Ironically Zita managed to get rid of Dib in this episode by simply sending him to the “Crazy House for Boys” while Zim couldn’t get rid of him even by using his Irken technology, so technically speaking Zita provided Zim with time to conquer Earth without Dib to annoy him but because Zim was more concerned with “the horrible Earth holiday” that is Halloween, he squandered the opportunity.
