Zita is the skoolchild who sits behind Zim in Skool.

Appearance

She has light purple spiky hair with a headband and a black-and-lavender-striped dress.

Personality

Like most other humans, Zita considers Dib to be crazy and not cool enough like most popular kids, considering that his side isn't cool as well. Ms. Bitters seems to have taken a liking to her, and Zita returns the respect. She is also one of the most recognisable children in the show, sitting behind Zim.

However, unlike most of her classmates, Zita seems to have a soft and kind side, like when she comforted the Pigboy after Dib accidentally hurt his feelings by saying that they weren't pigs.

Role in Invader Zim

She seemed to be Ms. Bitters' favorite student, since she is the only child whom Ms. Bitters has not expressed outright disgust toward. In "Lice", Zita was given an "A" from Ms. Bitters just for calling Dib crazy.

She also used one of the three Crazy Cards given to the class to commit Dib to the Crazy House For Boys in "Halloween Spectacular of Spooky Doom"; coincidentally, she was dressed as a stereotypical alien during this episode (which, oddly, received no commentary from neither Zim nor Dib).

At some point prior to "Gaz, Taster of Pork", she received a blob of the cafeteria's mashed potatoes to her right eye. Later, Zita took another inadvertent round of the mush from Gaz.

Due in part to the fact that she sits behind Zim in class, she is given a lot of airtime in the series, making her one of the more prominent minor characters of the series.

Facts of Doom

• Zita was voiced by Mo Collins, who also voices Robomom.
• Zita first appeared in the Pilot; while most of the Skoolchildren who made it into the actual series underwent major redesigns (like Chunk and Willy), the only major difference between Zita's Pilot and final incarnations is that her hair was white and her hairband was changed from lavender to black.
• Zita makes a cameo appearance in Invader Zim: Enter the Florpus as one of the Skoolchildren that appears on the screen behind Professor Membrane as he gives his keynote speech.
• She’d became a very popular character among the fandom, especially Gretchen. People ship with with Zim.
